Isolation Day 9:⁣
⁣
Lots of family exercise in our house today. ⁣
⁣
🚶‍♂️A long walk for Sean (rehabbing a strained calf).⁣
⁣
🏃‍♀️A hill repeat session from a 4-week running program for me. ⁣
⁣
💪Thora busted out another session of her school’s distance learning PE homework. ⁣
⁣
🏃‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️ But Auric showed us all up by out of the blue, completing a solo DIY triathlon. He went for an out and back run down the road in one direction, collected his bike at our driveway for a ride up the road in the other direction, finishing up with several laps in the pool. ⁣

But that wasn’t it. I came back from my exercise just in time to see The Fightin’ Pococks’ Makeshift Gym. ⁣

Sean and Auric had played the time-honored game, “Fill These Bags with Stuff!” in order to improvise weights.⁣
⁣

Thora joined in too for some duffel bag lifting, thera-band pulling, and toilet paper barbells. You know, your classic gym equipment.⁣
⁣

And speaking of Thora, you may be wondering where she is in all these updates.⁣
⁣
See that picture of twigs? Thora was sitting in that yellow chair just out of the shot. She’s in that wonderful phase where she doesn’t want to be documented in our family photos. She almost didn’t even let me take a picture of the twigs next to her. But I drew the line. I’m the adult here. I’ll take photos of twigs for my Instagram updates if I want. ⁣

And my last achievement of the day was some feijoa pear muffins! And they’re almost all gone!⁣
⁣

We finished the day with the classic movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I can’t wait to learn what school-bunking instruction they’ve absorbed from that movie. Over all it was a good day. Hope you’re all faring we’ll! ⁣

p.s. Charlie Sheen’s scene in the police station is so good in general, but I never would’ve guessed that I’d rewind and force the kids to re-watch his straight-man, druggie character drop the knowledge. 😂
